At 3 hours long with trips embarking at 10 am and 1:30 pm, these trips are a wonderful way to experience the thrill of rafting and still be able to fit in another activity like lunch or dinner without feeling like you’re cramming too much into one day.

These half-day trips take rafters on a thrilling journey through the class III and class IV Shoshone section of the Colorado River covering the Baptism, Tuttle’s Tumble, Tombstone, Wall, and Maneater rapids. At lower flows, rafters can stop and relax in the warm hot springs that flow right into the river. The age minimum for this trip is five years old, and all safety equipment and gear is provided by Colorado Whitewater Rafting.

What To Do In Glenwood Springs

Aside from whitewater rafting, Glenwood Springs offers an abundance of activities to enjoy on your road trip. Between dining, nightlife, and shopping, there is no shortage of fun to be had.

Luckily, Colorado Whitewater Rafting offers packages for those interested in combining a rafting trip with additional activities.

You can choose from the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park package, The Iron Mountain Hot Springs Package, and the Bike Rental with Shuttle Package.

The Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park package which is normally $54, is $40 with the purchase of a rafting trip and includes a tram ride as well as access to all of the park’s rides and attractions.

The Iron Mountain Hot Springs Package is $22.50 with the discount and provides rafters an all-day pass to the hot springs, which are just a short 1.5-mile drive from the Colorado Whitewater Rafting facilities. Visitors can enjoy the location’s 16 hot springs on the banks of the Colorado River.

The Bike Rental with Shuttle package is $35 a person and provides guests a shuttle ride to the Blair Ranch, which sits at the top of the canyon. From there they can take a bike ride next to the river and down into the town.
