Quick Details
A Full Day of River Rafting Fun in Colorado!
Enjoy all the exciting Shoshone Rapids and everything the Half Day offers, but so much more as we cover twice as many miles on the river!!! After the major rapids, there is plenty of time to kick back in the sun, jump in for a swim, and check out our inflatable kayaks. This trip also includes a wonderful hot picnic lunch!
The 6 hour Full Day Trip starts out by heading up river about 9 miles to the Shoshone Rapids in Glenwood Canyon on the Colorado River. We get off to an exciting start as we navigate the class III(IV) rapids including The Wall, Tombstone, Man Eater, Tombstone, and many more. The river gradually begins to mellow out and your guide will educate you on the incredible history of Glenwood Canyon and the Colorado River. At lower flows natural hot springs flow right into the river and we can stop and soak. It’s a great start to your day.
About half way through our trip we stop at our private riverside picnic area for a hot catered lunch. In the afternoon we encourage you to check out the included inflatable kayaks. We have one and two-person kayaks, perfect for the kids or couples. Many rafters think the kayaks are even more fun than the bigger rapids upstream! If you would rather have a “lazy river” experience, stick with the raft and enjoy beautiful scenery on this more mellow second river section through the remainder of the canyon and get a last splash at the South Canyon rapids. A short shuttle ride returns you to our facility to take a look at photos from your trip.
